Automatically remove posts that contain specific words or phrases.
The Word Filter automatically removes forum posts that contain specific words or phrases. It's useful for blocking slurs, spam phrases, or content that violates your community rules.
Go to the Word Filter tab and type a word or phrase in the input field, then click Add. You can add multiple words and phrases. The filter is case-insensitive.
The word filter checks if the banned word appears anywhere in the post title or body. For example, filtering "spam" will also catch "spammer" or "this is spam". It's a contains-match, not an exact-word match.
When a banned word is found, Forum Crown deletes the post and sends a warning to the author. Configure the warning message in the Word Filter settings to explain what happened.
Members with Staff Roles configured in the Staff Roles tab are exempt from the word filter. This is intentional so moderators can reference flagged words when enforcing rules.
