Automatically remove posts that contain specific words or phrases.
The Word Filter automatically removes forum posts that contain specific words or phrases. It's useful for blocking slurs, spam phrases, or content that violates your community rules.
Go to the Word Filter tab and type a word or phrase in the input field, then click Add. You can add multiple entries. The filter is case-insensitive — "Spam" and "spam" are treated the same.
The word filter checks if the banned word or phrase appears anywhere in the post title or body. It's a contains-match — filtering "spam" will also catch "spammer" or "this is spam".
When a banned word is detected, Forum Crown deletes the post and sends the author a DM explaining why. You can customize this warning message in the Word Filter settings to match your server's tone.
Members with Staff Roles configured in the Staff Roles tab are exempt from the word filter. This is intentional so moderators can reference flagged words when enforcing rules.
Forum Crown needs "Manage Messages" or "Manage Threads" permission in the forum channel to delete posts. Without this permission, the word filter will detect violations but be unable to remove them.
