Special Tags

Assign automated behaviors to Discord forum tags — control access, auto-lock, suppress features, and more.

What are Special Tags?

Special Tags let you attach automated behaviors to your Discord forum tags. When a user applies a configured tag to their new thread, Forum Crown enforces the behavior you've set for that tag — like restricting replies, auto-pinning, or suppressing certain bot features.

💡

Special Tags is a Paid Premium feature. It is not available on Free or Boost tiers.

Setting Up a Special Tag

Go to the Special Tags tab, select a forum channel, type the exact name of an existing forum tag, and choose a behavior from the dropdown. Click Save. You can configure up to 10 special tags per forum on Paid Premium.

Access Control Behaviors

readonly — Only the thread author and mentioned users can reply. No one else can post in the thread. admin_only — Restricts replies to server administrators only. mod_only — Restricts replies to moderators (users with Kick/Ban permissions). staff_only — Restricts replies to roles configured in your Staff Roles tab.

Auto Action Behaviors

auto_pin — Automatically pins the first message in the thread when it's created. auto_lock — Locks the thread immediately after creation, preventing any replies from the start. lock_on_close — Automatically locks the thread whenever it is archived.

Suppression Behaviors

suppress_reactions — Skips adding Auto-Reactions for threads with this tag. suppress_notify — Skips sending the Notification alert for this thread. suppress_welcome — Skips sending the Welcome Message for this thread. suppress_all — Disables all Forum Crown automation entirely for threads with this tag.

Limit

Paid Premium servers can configure up to 10 special tags per forum channel. The tag name must exactly match the name of an existing forum tag in that channel (case-insensitive).
