Automatically moderate forum posts with a full suite of rules — pinning, length limits, duplicate detection, auto-archiving, and more.
Automod is a per-forum moderation engine. Each forum channel can have its own independent set of rules. Automod runs the moment a new thread is created and enforces your configured rules automatically.
Go to the Automod tab and select a forum channel from the dropdown. Configure the rules you want for that forum and click Save. Repeat for each forum channel you want to moderate.
Configured forums are shown as quick-select buttons at the top so you can switch between them easily.
When enabled, Forum Crown automatically pins the opening post of every new thread. This is useful for keeping important context visible at the top of long threads.
Prevents new threads from being created if an existing open thread in the same forum already has the exact same title. The duplicate thread is deleted and the author is notified.
Forces every new thread to include at least one image or file. Threads posted without an attachment are automatically deleted. Great for art galleries, bug report forums, or media-focused channels.
Enables flair enforcement — the bot ensures threads have appropriate tags applied. Useful for keeping forums organized and preventing untagged posts.
Set a minimum and/or maximum character count for thread bodies. Posts that are too short or too long are automatically deleted, and the author receives a notification explaining the requirement.
Limit how many open threads a single user can have at the same time in a forum. Once they hit the limit, new threads from that user are blocked until an existing one is closed or archived.
Automatically archives a thread after a set number of hours of inactivity. For example, set 48 to archive threads that have had no activity for 2 days. Useful for keeping forums tidy.
Automatically locks a thread after a set number of hours of inactivity, preventing any further replies. Locking is more final than archiving — combine both or use them independently.
Posts an automatic bump message inside a thread after a set number of hours of no activity. Good for support or request forums where the author may want to remind the community their post is still open.
Automatically prepends a prefix to the title of every new thread in that forum. For example, enter "[Open]" to tag all new threads as open at a glance. The prefix is applied when the thread is created.
A custom message that is sent inside a thread when it is auto-archived or auto-locked by Forum Crown. Use this to let authors know their thread was closed automatically and what to do next.
Members with Staff Roles configured in the Staff Roles tab bypass all Automod checks. This ensures moderators and trusted members are never accidentally affected by these rules.
